Grays raise £882.48 through summer fundraiser

City Centre cafe Grays has raised £882.48 for Action Homeless through their ‘Summer in the City’ event.

Grays, based in the LCB Depot in the cultural quarter, partnered with local businesses to put on an evening of delicious street food, art, music, and entertainment. They were able to raise an amazing total thanks to the generosity of its partners, sponsors, and customers.

A spokesperson from Grays said “We wanted to put an event on to support the hard work Action Homeless do every day to help those going through the most treacherous time of their lives. Homelessness is a growing problem in Leicester and is an issue that should be addressed with vigour. We hope that the funds and awareness raised will be valuable to homeless people in the city.”

Action Homeless would like to thank everyone that attended and generously gave to our cause. We would also like to thank the following businesses for partnering with and sponsoring the event.

Partners: LCB Depot, Still Ill Studios, Bamboo Street Food, Gelato Village, Orange Reel Productions, Interact Digital Arts, Alex Talbot Smith, Grace J & Taffy G, Neil Foley

Sponsors: Holland Alexander, Country Fayre, Munro & Whitten, The Unloved, The Big Difference, W Archer & Sons, The Ale Wagon, Milners Bakery

Their next event is taking place on Saturday 29th September. Look out for more details soon!
