New partnership means new homes for 2022

Thanks to a partnership between Action Homeless, and Midlands based, ZONE Developments, 4 people experiencing homelessness have already been given new homes to begin the new calendar year. Tenants have been helped to move into their new homes over the festive period and are now settled in and starting 2022 in their own property.

In the coming weeks, 21 more people will benefit from the partnership which sees homes being provided at affordable rents to individuals affected by homelessness.

Mark Grant, Action Homeless CEO, said;

‘One of the difficulties that we have is finding permanent homes for people. People affected by homelessness can be kept waiting in temporary accommodation for long periods of time and we know that, whilst being without the safety and security of their own home, people can’t move on with their lives. We are delighted that by teaming up with ZONE, we are able to offer more homes and all the benefits that come with this’

Action Homeless is offering further partnership opportunities and is urging local landlords and property owners to get in touch. With 49 years of property management experience and a range of flexible partnership options, Action Homeless ensures it can meet both the needs of tenants and landlords. Further information for landlords is available here.

New tenant, Coral, said;

‘I’m so happy to finally have my own space, this is the fifth time I’ve moved since becoming homeless. When the pandemic hit, I lost my job and then my home. My new property is absolutely beautiful and Action Homeless have given me everything I need to set up. They’ve even installed a bike rack for me so that I can get around easily. I already feel a real sense of belonging.’
