Homeless or at Risk?

If you are homeless or at risk please contact Leicester City Council Housing Options on 0116 454 1008 (Monday – Friday, 8am – 6pm) or use their online services.

In an emergency out of hours, Council homelessness services can be contacted on 0116 221 2770.

Our Duty Desk drop can be contacted for signposting if you are facing homelessness or are worried that you might be in the near future.

The Duty Desk is open Monday – Friday between 9:30am and 4:30pm

Covid Winter Grant

Part of a national scheme to give financial support to households struggling to make ends meet over the winter during the pandemic. It is designed to help with the cost of food, energy (including heating, cooking, lighting), water bills (including sewage) and other essentials.

Community Support Grant Scheme

Emergency food support is available for those in financial hardship through the Community Support Grant scheme.

Email your name and contact number to C19support@leicester.gov.uk to receive a call back between Monday – Friday, 9:30am to 4:30pm. If successful in your application, you will be referred to our city centre Food Stop to collect a food parcel.

Gas and electricity vouchers for pre-paid meters are also available.

Concerned about someone rough sleeping?

Use Streetlink.org.uk to connect rough sleepers with professionals that can help – Using the Streetlink app, helpline or website you can tell us the location of someone you’ve seen rough sleeping. This alerts Leicester’s Outreach Team who can go and speak to the person you have seen and offer them help and support.
