Pile of Easter chocolate

Easter Donations

In the days and weeks leading up to the Easter weekend, Action Homeless has received a number of amazing donations.

The donations include Easter eggs, toiletries and even handmade toiletry bags too!

We would like to say a huge thank you to our donors for donating some amazing items for users of our services.

Leicestershire Cares provided us with 50 Easter eggs which have been distributed to children and families staying in our women’s refuge and accommodation.

Utilita also donated Easter eggs and chocolates for the children in Action Homeless services, as well as toiletries for residents which have been distributed to our Mayfield hostel.

Ibstock Baptist Church kindly donated toiletries in handmade toiletry bags. These beautiful bags each contain toiletries, chocolates and other items such as notepads and pens.

Amanda, our Play Facilitator, also organised a day of Easter activities at our women’s refuge for the women and their children. The activities included crafts like making Easter bonnets and baskets, decorating an Easter mask, colouring in and making furry felt pictures. There was a fantastic Easter egg hunt in the garden where the Easter bunny had hidden over 70 eggs filled with treats. The children also made some yummy Easter nests from chocolate, shredded wheat, smarties and little chicks. The activity day was finished off with an egg and spoon race in the garden too, before the children all received a little goodie pack left by the Easter bunny, filled with lots of chocolate, a colouring book and a soft toy.
