Christmas at Action Homeless – opening hours

Our staff team, with the help of some willing volunteers, will continue working over the festive period providing support to our residents. With the support of our partners, we’ve also been able to open up some additional winter beds, offering people at risk of rough sleeping, with a safe and warm place to stay.

We are very thankful to all of our supporters who have made donations in the lead up to Christmas. We are truly humbled by the number of individuals and companies that have been in touch to ask how they can help, to volunteer their time, to arrange collections of gifts or to make a financial donation.

With your help, we’ve been able to ensure that our staff are able to give out gifts on Christmas morning, helping to make the day a little brighter. We’ve also been able to get food parcels out to people in need and will be serving up Christmas dinners at a number of our housing projects.

Services over Christmas and New Year

Our accommodation projects will remain open throughout the festive period with staff on hand to support residents.

If you are worried about becoming homeless or facing homelessness during the festive period, Leicester City Council have shared an up to date list of services that are available during Christmas and New Year, including where to access emergency food and advice.

Our Central Office will be closed from Christmas Eve and will reopen on Tuesday 3rd January 2023.
