Can you help us to offer some comfort this Christmas?

This Christmas, Action Homeless will be supporting over 275 people who are experiencing homelessness. Sadly, homelessness is on the rise and each day we are being contacted by individuals and families in need of emergency accommodation having lost their home.

We are ready to respond by offering high quality housing and personalised support to break the cycle of  homelessness this festive season and beyond. We need your help to ensure that we can make this often difficult time a little brighter for our all of our residents.

How can you help?

1. Sponsor one of our Christmas Events

We’ll be organising a range of events which offer food, warmth and comfort to individuals and families who are experiencing homelessness this Christmas. Could you, or your business, provide sponsorship which will help us to cover the cost of these festive events. Take a look at what we’re planning in our Christmas Events Sponsorship guide.

2. Donate items from our Christmas Wish List

We have released our Christmas Wish List for 2024 which is full of donation ideas for the things we need most during this time of year, as well as advice on how to make a donation. Could you arrange a collection of items in our wish list at your workplace or with friends and family?

If you would like to make a donation we would love to hear from you. We would appreciate it if you could let us know if you’d like to make a donation at the earliest opportunity so that we can ensure we are able to distribute gifts in time for Christmas. We ask that donations are received no later than Tuesday 17th December 2024.

Please get in touch by emailing jessamynwitthaus@actionhomeless.org.uk or call us on 0116 2211851 to arrange collection or drop off.

Please note: We are unable to accept second hand clothing, bedding or furniture.

3. Donate to our Christmas Appeal

  • £5 pays for a Christmas gift for a child or adult living in temporary accommodation
  • £10 pays for a 3 course Christmas dinner for someone experiencing homelessness
  • £20 pays for a Christmas baking session at our Community Lounge which brings people together for some festive fun

You can easily make a donation today of an amount that works for you.

If you’d like to know more about how donations like yours make a positive impact on the lives of people who have experienced homelessness, take a look at one of our client Case Studies.

Thank you
