Help Action Homeless make a real difference to child poverty this summer.

Action Homeless is appealing for volunteers to help provide food to hundreds of Leicester children.

Every summer families across Leicester who rely on free school meals have to go without over the holidays. We are collaborating with Leicester City Council and local community groups to provide lunches to children across the city.

We are appealing for volunteers to help prepare and assemble lunch bags over the school holidays, Monday 17th July – Friday 25th August.

The packing and assembly will take place on weekday mornings and we are looking for 3-4 volunteers a session. You’ll be needed for a couple of hours and based out of the kitchen at Mayfield House, 6 St James Terrace, LE2 1NA.

There is street parking available on nearby St James Road and reasonable expenses will be reimbursed.
